    About this recipe: Just to confuse you I thought I'd put this one in next. Serve this meatloaf with salad and bread and butter for supper or tea. To give it a more gamey flavour you could put in minced liver in addition.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 450g (1 lb) beef mince
    • 110g (4 oz) ham, chopped or minced
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 55g (2 oz) breadcrumbs
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • any combination of herbs
    • 1 small chopped tomato (for colour)
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:3hr  ›  Ready in:3hr15min 

    1. Mix all ingredients together with the egg to bind.
    2. Put into a greased and lined loaf tin.
    3. Steam or bake in a bain marie for 3 hours.
    4. Allow to cool before turning out.

    Freezing tip

    Will freeze well.
