About this recipe: This recipe produces fall-of-the-bone tender lamb shanks that have been slow cooked in a rich red wine sauce and served with velvety mash. Satisfyingly tasty.
Got to try this one, will comment then - 07 Jul 2012
Wasn't sure what to make of this recipe because of the amount of tomatoes. However, it really is a beautiful dish, richly flavoured and nicely textured, perfect for dinner on a cold day. - 18 Jan 2016
Like the other review this was also my first time cooking lamb shanks. It was very easy and tasted fantastic! Have made it again since.... the first time we only had an expensive wine in the house and not being wine drinkers decided to use this for it. The second time I just bought some cheap wine and it didnt taste as good. Think I need to learn a little about what type of wine is good for what! - 29 Oct 2012 (Review from Allrecipes AU | NZ)
