About this recipe: The classic flavour combination of chocolate and orange are brought together in these delicious truffles. They are so good, you can't stop at eating just one!


Makes: 50 truffles, depending on size

  • 150g dark chocolate, broken into chunks
  • 150g milk chocolate, broken into chunks
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped crystallised orange peel
  • 50g icing sugar
  • 2 dessertspoons orange liqueur, such as Cointreau
  • 80g unsweetened cocoa powder

Prep:45min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr50min 

  1. Melt chocolate in a double boil, stirring until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together icing sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Add the melted chocolate, peel and liqueur. Mix well and chill until firm, about 1-1 1/2 hours.
  4. Using a spoon, scoop out portions of the chocolate mix and roll into balls.
  5. Roll truffles in cocoa and place in mini paper cases. Keep refrigerated.
