    About this recipe: This is a super-easy pasta dish, which is perfect for the kids (and the kid in you). Spaghetti is tossed with cooked sausagemeat, tomatoes, black olives and Cheddar cheese.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 450g spaghetti
    • 450g pork sausagemeat
    • 2 tomatoes, chopped
    • 125g sliced black olives
    • 450g Cheddar cheese, grated

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add spaghetti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or to taste; drain.
    2. Meanwhile, place sausagemeat in a large, deep frying pan. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown; drain well.
    3. In a large bowl, mix together cooked sausagemeat, spaghetti, tomatoes, olives and grated cheese. Serve.

    I'm rating this a 5, but I have to admit I changed it dramatically. First of all, I used brown rice instead of pasta. I used 12 oz. organic sausage, and added a can of diced green chilis, mushrooms, 3 tomatoes, a larger quanity of a fresh mixture of olives, and quite a bit of garlic.     Love this recipe!! 5 ingredients and tastes gourmet. I halved the cheese as others did and used a can of well drained diced tomatoes...and I added a little garlic just because. Served with garlic bread and salad - yum!!!  -  08 Feb 2011  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
