Really lovely! I made a batch to take to school and the tin was clear by second period, with people requesting more. The brown sugar gave them a wonderful almost toffee-ish taste. Next time, I think I would add more chocolate chips and possibly a little cocoa powder to the dough, just to make them a little more chocolatey. I only had one egg so halved everything but accidentally used a tablespoon of vanilla extract instead of a teaspoon. Whoops! Nevertheless, the cookies still tasted amazing and I think my belly is asking for a third already! Very basic to do as I'm a beginner baker and I'm very happy with the outcome. Being the pessimist I am, I was expecting my horrid baking skills to ruin this poor recipe. A must-try! - 11 Feb 2013
