Spaghetti alla Carbonara

    This fantastic Italian pasta dish is super-easy to make. Cooked spaghetti is tossed with bacon, onion, eggs and cheese. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread, if desired.

    Serves: 6 

    • 340g cooked and drained spaghetti
    • 8 thick rashers streaky bacon, diced
    • 2 onions, chopped
    • 4 eggs
    • 115g processed cheese, such as Kraft singles, unwrapped and cubed

    1. In a large frying pan, cook the bacon and remove to a kitchen-lined plate. Add the onion to the bacon drippings and cook until clear, about 5 minutes. Add the spaghetti and the bacon to the onions and toss until well mixed.
    2. Add the eggs and the cheese and stir until the cheese is melted. Serve while warm.
