About this recipe: It takes just four ingredients to make this delicious Italian pasta. Spaghetti is baked with beef in tomato sauce and topped with grated Cheddar. Enjoy with garlic bread, if desired.


Serves: 6 

  • 335g lean minced beef
  • 450g tomato based pasta sauce
  • 450g spaghetti
  • 140g grated mild Cheddar cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. In large frying pan, cook beef until evenly brown. Mix pasta sauce into pan and reduce heat to simmer.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Mix in pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  3. Mix together spaghetti and meat mixture, pour into 20x30cm dish. Top with cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
