Preheat an outdoor barbecue for high heat, and lightly oil cooking grate.
In a large bowl, mix minced beef, egg, oats, dried onion, seasoning salt, pepper, ketchup and onion soup mix. Form the mixture into about 4 burgers.
Place burgers on the prepared barbecue, and cook about 5 minutes on each side.
