    About this recipe: A super easy and quick macaroni cheese supper with a bit of bacon for loads of flavour and a nice tomatoey sauce. Kids will love this one and so will you! Comfort food in the blink of an eye!

    Serves: 3 

    • 175g macaroni
    • 6 rashers bacon
    • 30g butter or margarine
    • 2 1/2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 250ml tinned tomatoes, half-drained
    • 120g grated Cheddar cheese

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
    2. While macaroni is boiling, fry or grill bacon and place on kitchen paper to drain. Cut into bite size pieces.
    3. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat. Stir in flour, then tomatoes and wait for sauce to thicken, stirring occasionally. When thickness is to your liking, stir in cheese until it has melted. Stir in cooked macaroni and bacon and heat through. Serve hot.
