    About this recipe: A savoury loaf for the bread machine made of rye flour, polenta, thyme and carrots. Really delicious when spread with lashings of butter.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 2 1/2 teaspoons dried active baking yeast
    • 100g rye flour
    • 310g bread flour
    • 60g polenta (cornmeal)
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons caster sugar
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried thyme
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    • 250ml water
    • 220g grated carrots
    • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:3hr  ›  Ready in:3hr5min 

    1. Place the ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select Basic Bread setting, and then press Start.
    2. Allow the loaf to cool before slicing.
