A true cobbler recipe with a scone-like topping, made with fresh cherries, and perfect served warm with vanilla ice cream. You can use fresh cherries when in season, or frozen cherries if you have them.
I made it using sweet fresh cherries. I thought it was odd pouring the cornflour mixture over the sponge mix but found the finished dessert absolutely delicious as did everyone else who tried it. Will definitely make this again. - 03 Jul 2013

Super easy recipe with super common ingredients, and a super nice finished product. However, I recmmend you cut the sugar and the water to about 3/4 of the amount listed, as it is all very very sweet, and is a bit on the runny side. - 07 Jul 2002 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
