Breadmaker cinnamon raisin bread

    A yummy bread that's moist, lightly sweet and spiced with cinnamon. Enjoy fresh out of the breadmaker with lashings of butter. It also makes excellent toast the next day.

    Makes: 1 loaf

    • 250ml milk, room temperature
    • 50g butter, softened
    • 3 tablespoons honey
    • 1 tablespoon dark brown soft sugar
    • 1 egg, room temperature
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 410g bread flour
    • 2 1/4 teaspoons easy bake yeast
    • 150g raisins

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:3hr  ›  Ready in:3hr10min 

    1. Put all ingredients, except raisins into the pan of a bread machine in the order given above or as directed in your bread machine manual. Set the bread maker on Sweet Dough setting.
    2. Add the raisins at the signal or about 5 minutes before the kneading cycle has finished.

    Made in my breville breadmaker and turned out lovely. I halved the quantity of brown sugar and it was plenty sweet enough. I will try two tablespoons of honey next time as was a bit sticky in kneading. A really soft and delicious loaf  -  27 Apr 2015


    Needs more cinnamon, otherwise very nice. Made it for the first time in a new bread maker today. Toasted it next day, just like a tea cake, very nice.  -  19 Jan 2013


    .Added an extra half tsp of cinnamon and weighed the honey(45g). It came out as light as a feather. It will definitely be a regular bake in my house! Thank you.  -  20 Mar 2013
