Chewy cornflake bars

    These chewy and crunchy treats are the perfect after school snack. They are made with cornflakes, butter, marshmallows, toasted almonds and coconut.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 12 bars

    • 175g butter
    • 30 marshmallows
    • 100g flaked almonds, toasted
    • 75g desiccated coconut
    • 100g cornflakes cereal

    Method
    Prep:15min  ›  Extra time:30min setting  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Combine the butter and marshmallows in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until melted.
    2. Stir in the almonds and cornflakes. Press into a 20x30cm baking tin and let sit for 30 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
