About this recipe: A moist meatloaf, which is packed full of flavour. Beef, turkey, onions, courgette, Cheddar and breadcrumbs are formed into a loaf and baked to perfection. Slice thickly for dinner or as a sandwich filler.

  • 450g minced beef
  • 450g minced turkey
  • 100g grated courgette
  • 80g diced onions
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 125g grated Cheddar cheese
  • 110g plain breadcrumbs
  • 30g Ranch dressing mix
  • 4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 4 tablespoons steak sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease a 20x30cm baking dish.
  2. Mix the beef, turkey, courgette, onions, green pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs and Ranch dressing mix until well combined. Form the mixture into a loaf in the middle of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Stir together the ketchup and steak sauce in a small bowl. Pour the sauce over the top of the meatloaf. Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the centre, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the centre should read at least 70 degrees C.
