Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease and flour a 20cm square tin. Combine the flour, dark brown soft sugar, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt in prepared tin. Mix well with a fork.
Make three "wells" in the dry ingredients. Pour oil in the first, vinegar in the second and vanilla in the third. Pour milk over the top and mix all ingredients with a fork until well blended. Pour chocolate chips over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out with moist crumbs. Cool in tin for 15 minutes, then cut and serve directly from the tin.
very easy to make, very moist, very nice and chocolatey.
however i added a bit of caster sugar second time round as its not sweet enough for my personal taste.
but a great recipe nonetheless.

I have done this cake already 5 times, and have experimented a bit: instead of sugar I have substituted it by condense milk and instead of milk I have used quinoa milk with chia.
