    • 85g cream cheese
    • 220g icing sugar
    • 225ml double cream, whipped

    1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped cream.

    A nice alternative to buttercream lighter and creamier. i had to add quite a lot more icing sugar for it to be thick enough to pipe onto my cupcakes. will deffo use again  -  08 Jan 2012

    Like some of the other suggestions, I changed up the ratios. I used all 8 oz. of the cream cheese package and only 1 cup of sugar. The frosting turned out absolutely wonderful!!  -  02 May 2007  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    I like the smooth creamy texture. I used the whole 8 oz creeam cheese though and a little more poweder sugar and still great. I also added just a drop of orange extract which I think compliments carrot cake. I made carrot cupcakes and with the frosting it was very good.  -  19 May 2006  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
