Parmesan cheese sauce

    A creamy Parmesan cheese sauce that's quick and easy to make with just three ingredients. There's no need to fan around with making a roux for this simple sauce. It's excellent served with chicken, pasta, gnocchi or vegetables.

    Serves: 8 

    • 475ml whipping cream
    • 110g butter
    • 150g grated Parmesan cheese
    • salt to taste

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:5min resting  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. In a medium saucepan combine cream, butter and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook over medium low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and season to taste. Sauce will thicken upon standing.

    Used different ingredients. I didn't have enough Italian cheese so I supplemented it with Mature cheddar. It is a super recipe and so very easy. Would recommend it to anyone who uses cheese sauce on a regular basis.  -  05 Jul 2011
