Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Arrange the apricots in a 20x30cm baking dish and sprinkle with caster sugar. Mix together dark brown soft sugar and flour in a bowl; rub in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Lightly stir in the oats and spoon the mixture over the apricots.
Bake in the preheated oven until the fruit is soft and the topping is browned and crisp, 35 to 40 minutes.
