About this recipe: Pico de gallo is an authentic Mexican salsa that you can enjoy with tortilla chips for dipping, or serve with tacos, nachos, black beans, refried beans or almost any Mexican dish!


Serves: 4 

  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 fresh jalapeño or green chilli, seeded and chopped
  • 2 sprigs fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir until evenly distributed. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.


Try using minced fresh garlic instead of the garlic granules for a fresher flavour. You can try 1 to 2 cloves.
