About this recipe: Roasted garlic is sweet and luscious, and very spreadable. Serve with good crusty bread or with crackers.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium heads garlic
  • butter

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4.
  2. Cut aluminium foil into three 15cm (6 in) squares (large enough to wrap each garlic head). Place a knob of butter in each square of foil and place one garlic head into each square. Fold to make parcels out of each square, and arrange them in a baking dish or tray.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the garlic is soft.

Tip:

You can substitute olive oil for the butter if you prefer!
