These are the easiest biscuits I have ever made. In Sweden, they're known as brunscrackers. You can add 2 tablespoons of cocoa to the flour if you fancy a chocolate version. The only problem I have with them is you can't eat just one!

This recipe is wrong, it reads 225g flour, it should be 450g (double the amount!) Sadly I only worked this out after making the cookies and now have a greasy sticky toffee like batch of biscuits. I'm sure given the correct quantities the cookies would be delicious, and it is a really easy recipe so I will be trying again sometime. - 28 Aug 2011
I used the modified recipe as suggested by nikie0301, and it worked perfectly, as long as you double the amount of flour, and adding 3 teaspoons of cold water to bind the dough. - 18 Jun 2012
These are amazing, I doubled the flour as recommended and also added 3 tablespoons of golden syrup. I have to make these regularly for my family and they never last very long! - 08 Jun 2013
