About this recipe:
Delicious chilli lasagne, filling, good for snacks or meals easy to make even easier to eat !!! Good first recipe for students or kids to learn. Tip: use gloves when chopping and deseeding the fresh chilli.
500g lean minced beef or lamb
3 small onions, finely chopped
1/2 fresh green or jalapeno chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
6 dried lasagne sheets
1 jar chilli pasta sauce
half jar Bolognese sauce
100g cheese, grated (optional )

Brown mince, onions and chilli.
Add chilli sauce, stir well, then add Bolognese. Add a little water to keep the dish loose. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 90 minutes, stirring often.
In a baking dish, alternate layers of sauce and lasagne sheets, ensuring the top layer is sauce - NOT pasta.
Place in oven at 180 C / Gas 4 for about 20 minutes. Add a good bit of grated cheese to the top, return to oven for 10 to 15 minutes and serve. Make ahead
For thicker pasta layers leave overnight in fridge. Can be made days before and chilled or frozen, serve with wedges or chip n dip !!!
