About this recipe:
I decided to experiment with pork to make a burger and was pleased with the results. Serve in a roll with some salad as a snack or as part of a meal.
2 dessertspoons olive oil
1 onion, sliced
1 small bag mini Cheddars, grated
500g pork mince
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 onion, finely diced
1 garlic clove, chopped finely or garlic salt
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt and black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Pour the olive oil into the bottom of a large baking tray add 1 sliced onion.
- Get a bowl and put grated mini Cheddars in to use to help bind the mixture. Add in mince, egg, finely diced onion, garlic and all remaining ingredients.
- Mix well with a spoon and then take handfuls of mixture and shape into burgers. Place each burger onto the baking tray with onions and olive oil.
- Bake in oven until no longer pink at the centre, 25 to 30 minutes.
