Yummy yoghurt naan bread

    Delicious with any curry. Homemade naan bread is a delicious and fairly easy alternative to shop bought.

    Serves: 4 

    • 450g bread flour
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 125ml tepid milk
    • 30g fresh yeast
    • 30g caster sugar
    • 125ml natural yoghurt
    • 1 egg

    1. Put bread flour in a bowl with a pinch of salt. Add milk, yeast and sugar together in a jug. Stir together the yoghurt and egg.
    2. Add the milk mix and the egg mix to the bread flour and mix with one hand in the bowl and the other hand holding the bowl.
    3. Get the dough out of the bowl and knead it. Place back in the bowl and prove until twice its size.
    4. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    5. Get the dough out of the bowl and knead it again. Roll out the dough and make a shape of a tear drop then place on a tray and leave to prove for 10 minutes.
    6. Bake the naan bread in the oven and until golden brown. When the bread is done take it out and serve.
