These are normally the ingredients you use on an Alsacienne onion tart but I've made it on a pizza base instead. It's really good and perfect as a light main or nibble with wine.

1 ready made pizza base
2 tablespoons cream or creme fraiche
100g lardons, very thinly diced
2 large onions, very thinly sliced
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 pinch grated nutmeg

Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.

Tip
Smoked bacon or pancetta can be used instead of lardons.
