Brussels sprouts with bacon

    After eating this, I realised I actually like Brussels sprouts more than I thought I did. Maybe the bacon helped! Halve each sprout and remove the core which is bitter, they taste much better if you do this.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 250g Brussels sprouts, halved iwth core removed
    • 100g bacon, diced

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Cook the bacon in a frying pan over low heat for 3 minutes.
    2. Add the Brussels sprouts to a large sauce pan and cover with water, add a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil and cook for 5 minutes.
    3. Drain and add to the frying pan with the bacon. Toss well and serve immediately.
