My Sister's Duck à l'orange

    This is my sister's recipe but I always enjoy it so much that I begged her for the recipe. Serve with lots of rice.

    Serves: 6 

    • 6 duck breasts
    • 100ml dry white wine
    • 3 oranges, grated and juiced
    • 300ml beef stock
    • 100ml Cointreau
    • 100ml cream
    • knob of butter

    1. Cook the duck breasts skin side down on a frying pan, for 5 minutes. Set aside.
    2. Pour the white wine into a saucepan, add the orange juice and beef stock. Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes. Add the zest, Cointreau, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
    3. Pour in the cream and some butter, add duck breasts and cook for 5 minutes. Serve with rice.
