Sweet chilli chicken drumsticks

    Chicken drumsticks with a bit of sweetness and spice.

    Serves: 12 

    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 5 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 12 chicken drumsticks, skin removed

    1. In a large bowl, mix together the honey, sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce. Set aside a small dish of the marinade for basting. Place chicken drumsticks into the bowl. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
    2. Preheat barbecue for medium high heat.
    3. Lightly oil the barbecue cooking grate. Arrange drumsticks on the grate and cook for 10 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Baste frequently with the reserved sauce during the last 5 minutes.

    These are lovely!I made them when we had friends round for tea and they loved them too!I marinated them in the fridge for about 8 hours and as i don't have a bbq i cooked them in the oven for about 45 minutes.  -  05 Feb 2011


    cooked this chicken recipe in the oven and basted it regularly and it was lovely. took hardly any time to prepare and was loved by all who ate it. Will be a regular in our house now!  -  10 Apr 2009


    Great recipe, we first used it on the bbq but as it has become too cold we have cooked it in the oven wrapped in foil. Wouldn't change anything  -  19 Nov 2008
