My mother passed this recipe onto me when I moved out and into my own home in 1975. Hence the unusual quantities & instructions. It goes great with mixed slow cooked vegetables so I've included that recipe below too.
Next time I would use brown sauce as well as ketchup, passata rather than tomato soup as it was a little too sweet for our taste. But saying that, when the leftovers were cold - the taste was amazing! - 03 Mar 2015
