About this recipe: A delicious, comforting, moreish beef dish, that takes barely any time to prepare and is very kind on the purse-strings! Heinz is the secret! Me and my boyfriend love curling up on the sofa with a big bowl of this and some creamy mashed potato!

Serves: 2 

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 white onion, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 500g lean minced beef
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tin Heinz Lentil Soup
  • 300ml beef stock
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and Pepper to taste

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Fry the onion and garlic in the olive oil in a large saucepan, for about 5 minutes, or until softened. Add the minced beef, increase the heat, and fry the beef for about 10 minutes.
  2. Once the beef has been broken up and is beginning to brown, add all the other ingredients. Cook for 20 minutes on a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Season to taste and serve!

Serving suggestion

Can be served with anything such as mashed potato, pasta, rice, or hunks of white crusty bread!
