About this recipe: A.K.A Rockamole! A very rich dip, but excellent if you love blue cheese and avocado. Serve with crackers or crudites.

Baje Sofala, Mozambique

Serves: 6 

  • 1 avocado
  • 150ml soured cream
  • squeeze of lime juice
  • 100g Roquefort cheese, or more to taste
  • jarred jalapeno chillies to taste

  1. Scoop out avocado flesh and chop up into pieces.
  2. In a seperate bowl, smooth together soured cream and lime juice to taste.
  3. Throw in chopped up Roquefort and jalapenos.
  4. Lastly fold in avocado. Chill and serve.


Do not over mix as the cheese and avocado bits add a nice texture to the dip. Also, to avoid mixture turning brown one put in the fridge, save the avocado stone and place on top directly into the mix and it should stay a nice green colour!
