This Brazilian recipe is an alternative version of chestnut stuffing, made with ground cream cracker biscuits as well as chestnuts, fruits and spices.

125ml olive oil
2 apples, cored and grated
1 large onion, minced
3 tablespoons raisins
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
300g whole chestnuts, cooked and halved
salt and ground black pepper to taste
hot sauce to taste
300g water biscuits or cream crackers (like Jacob's®), crushed

In a saucepan heat olive oil and sauté apples. Gradually add all of the other ingredients (except the biscuits), stirring well. Season with salt, pepper and hot sauce to taste and continue cooking for about 3 more minutes.
Add crushed biscuits, stirring, to blend well with other ingredients. Serve with roasted meats.
