Slow cooker glazed carrots

    A ridiculously easy side dish of sweet glazed carrots made in the slow cooker. Add chopped fresh parsley before serving for colour.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g baby carrots
    • 6 tablespoons orange marmalade
    • 1 tablespoon water
    • 30g butter
    • salt and pepper to taste

    1. Place all of the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, or until the carrots are tender.


    You can thicken the glaze at the end of cooking by adding a mixture of 1 dessertspoon cornflour and 2 dessertspoons cold water, then cooking a further 15 minutes.
