Spiced autumn punch
This hot punch is great for a Halloween party or Bonfire Night. The aroma tells you that autumn is in the air.
Ingredients

- 2 oranges
- 8 whole cloves
- 1.5L (2 1/2 pints) apple juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 500ml (17 fl oz) pineapple juice

- Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4. Stud the whole oranges with cloves, and bake for 30 minutes.
- In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice and cinnamon stick. Bring to the boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the nutmeg, honey, lemon juice and pineapple juice.
- Serve hot in a punch bowl with the 2 baked clove-studded oranges floating on top.

Used different ingredients. This punch was delicious. I had to double the recipe and ran out of pineapple juice so I added orange juice as well. Got 3 calls the next day for the recipe. This one is a keeper. - 15 Sep 2008

this sooo fun to make and extremely easy, and everyone loved it (my husband and his friends added some vodka and liked it even more:-) but even i liked it (without the vodka) the pineapple juice make it taste sooooooooooo good, thank you!!!! - 15 Sep 2008
