Preheat the oven to 190 C / Gas 5. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
With knife or kitchen scissors, cut the puff pastry sheet into 10 squares, then cut each square into 4 strips, making a total of 40 pieces of pastry.
Wrap 4 pieces of pastry around each frankfurter, stretching pastry slightly to completely cover frankfurter. About 1cm from one end of each frankfurter, separate "bandages" so frankfurter shows through for the "face". Place on the prepared baking tray.
Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until pastry is light golden brown and hot dogs are hot. With mustard, draw eyes and mouth on each frankfurter "face".
I made these with the help of my 8yr old grandson. He loved wrapping the pastry around and although they did not look perfect mine were no better. When they were cooked tho they looked okay
