Cheesy tuna toast

About this recipe: A yummy and quick snack for when you are short on time but want something warm and tasty to eat.

Serves: 4 

  • 50g strong cheese (mature Cheddar or similar)
  • 4 thick slices of white bread
  • 1 tin of tuna, drained
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Toast one side of each of the 4 slices of bread. When golden brown remove from the grill and spread the tuna on top as close to the edge as possible. Slice the cheese and place on top of the tuna covering it completely. Sprinkle Worcestershire sauce over the top of the 4 slices and then place under the grill.
  3. Grill until golden brown and bubbling.

Easy to make and something i had never thought of. I used BBQ sauce instead of Worscester as i didn't have any. Was Nice despite not having that extra kick. Was nice and simple eating - 11 Mar 2013
