Easy butterscotch sauce

    An easy three-ingredient butterscotch sauce that is ready in mere minutes. Perfect over sticky toffee pudding, profiteroles or ice cream.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 125ml double cream
    • 30g butter
    • 4 tablespoons demerara sugar

    Method

    1. In a small pan, bring cream to the boil and stir in butter. Once it has melted, turn heat down low and add sugar, stirring until the magic moment where the sugar melts and the sauce turns see-through. Serve hot.
