    About this recipe: This bright, tart, warmly spiced cranberry apple chutney makes a great accompaniment to festive food.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 2 jars

    • 250g dried cranberries
    • 1 (250ml) can EQ8® Cranberry & Apple
    • 4 apples - peeled, cored and cut into 2cm cubes
    • 1 red onion, cut into 2cm cubes
    • 150g demerara sugar
    • 3 cloves
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 100ml balsamic vinegar
    • 1 bay leaf

    Method

    1. Soak the cranberries in EQ8 Cranberry & Apple.
    2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan cook the apples and onions on a medium heat for 4 minutes.
    3. Add in the rest of the ingredients, including the EQ8® and cranberries, and cook down gently for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    4. Leave to cool, then store in jars in the fridge for up to one month. A great accompaniment to festive food.
