This recipe was made up by my friend Louise who has a son with a bad allergy to dairy. It makes 80 biscuits and they are very tasty. Be careful with the cloves as they can be overpowering.
You could, of course, make these delicious biscuits with butter and ordinary milk.
Try substituting gluten-free SR flour to make these biscuits gluten-free.
AGA TIP - I cooked my biscuits in batches of 20 using the grid shelf on the floor of the roasting oven with the cold shelf on the second set of runners. They only take 8 minutes in an AGA.
