Paprika potatoes

    A great way to spice up new potatoes. These crispy oven-roasted potatoes are seasoned with paprika, dried herbs and garlic.

    Serves: 2 

    • 6 new potatoes, halved
    • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
    • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/2 teaspoon mixed herbs
    • salt to taste

    1. Preheat oven on 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Steam new potatoes for 10 minutes, leaving the skins on.
    3. Whilst potatoes are steaming: Place garlic, oil, paprika and herbs in a roasting tin and mix well.
    4. Drain potatoes and place in roasting dish. Stir to over in oil an arrange potatoes cut side down. Season with salt to taste
    5. Roast for 45 minutes until skins are crispy.

    Very easy and tasted lovely. My husband wanted more but i hadn't made enough! will be adding these to my family favourites. Served with a Chicken and vegetable Ragu. A nice change to the humble roast potato!!  -  15 Dec 2012


    Turned out lovely. Used some charlotte potatoes we had in the fridge. Didn't have any mixed herbs left, so I threw some oregano, basil and thyme at it and it went well. We served this as a side to the below  -  11 Jun 2017
