These cookies are" TO DIE FOR" said my husband. My family polished them all off before I even got chance to melt the chocolate to drizzle over them!!!
I cannot tolerate cow dairy products or gluten, so used gluten-free flour, goat's butter and sweetened soya milk. I was a little worried that the strong flavour of the goat's butter might over-power the other ingredients, but it didn't.
I am toying with the idea of using honey instead of the syrup in my next batch...which will hopefully not be eaten BEFORE they are drizzled in chocolate!!
