- 30g butter
- 1 slice bread
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper to taste

- Melt half of the butter in a small frying pan over medium heat.
- Using a heart-shaped biscuit cutter, create a hole in the middle of the bread, removing the centre so there is a heart-shaped hole in the middle. Use the remaining butter to butter the bread lightly on both sides and lightly fry it on one side, and then turn it over. Crack the egg into the hole in the middle of the bread and fry quickly. Take care to ensure that the bread does not burn. Serve warm.
