Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl. Slowly, add the butter in a bowl and use your hands to rub it into the flour. (This should not happen, but if the mixture starts to go mushy, put it in the fridge for a couple of minutes.)
Start to add the milk and mix with a spatula. Try not to beat the texture out of the dough but just gently combine the ingredients. Once firm, knead it into a ball.
Dust a flat surface with flour and roll the dough out. Use a cookie cutter or a cup and cut shapes about 1cm thick.
Place the rounds on a baking tray and bake them for fifteen minutes, or as I like to do, until they are golden brown. Leave them to cool and enjoy!
Since this is not exactly a scone or a biscuit, you can really add almost anything to this recipe.
