Walnut truffles

    These simple homemade chocolate truffles are decorated with walnut halves.

    Makes: 25 

    • 180ml double cream
    • 200g dark chocolate
    • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
    • 25 walnut halves

    1. In a small saucepan bring cream to the boil. Remove from the heat and add chocolate, stir. Wait for 1 minutes till chocolate is melted, then stir till smooth.
    2. Let cool a little, then cover with cling wrap and place in the fridge for 4 hours or in the freezer for 2 hours.
    3. Take a teaspoon full of the mixture and swiftly roll between the palms of your hands to shape truffles. Roll in cocoa and garnish with a walnut. Store in a cool place.
