    About this recipe: A mouth-wateringly delicious cake from Germany that you will love, flavoured with Advocaat liqueur and vanilla.

    Serves: 10 

    • 250g caster sugar
    • 5 eggs
    • 250g plain flour
    • 205ml Advocaat liqueur
    • 250ml sunflower oil
    • 1 packet vanilla sugar
    • 1 packet baking powder

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:1hr  ›  Extra time:15min cooling  ›  Ready in:1hr20min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Whisk together all ingredients.
    2. Pour into medium to large cake tin (which contains mixture best), and bake for 1 hour.
    3. Leave to cool for 15 minutes.

    Make it healthier

    Serve with fruit like strawberries and grapes to make it even more delicious.

    Other ideas

    Covering it in icing is cool; for Halloween you could use green or orange, and for weddings white, etc.
