About this recipe: My kids love crêpes, we often make them Sunday evening to end the weekend on a sweet note! These have a hint of orange blossom and can be sprinkled with sugar or a dollop of Nutella®! Orange blossom water is available at Middle Eastern markets or online.

Serves: 4

  • 300g plain flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 litre milk
  • 2 tablespoons orange blossom water
  • 2 tablespoons oil

  1. In a food processor or large bowl combine flour, eggs, sugar and salt. Gradually stir in the milk, being careful not to make lumps. Once the mixture is smooth, add oil and orange blossom water.
  2. Lightly grease a small nonstick frying pan or crêpe pan. Heat the pan over medium heat and add a small ladle of batter; cook until the edges begin to lightly brown. Turn the crêpe and cook the other side.
  3. Stack the crêpes on a plate and keep warm in the oven (at 170 C / Gas 3) until ready to serve.
