    About this recipe: Halloumi cheese and fresh figs, grilled together with walnuts and a drizzle of honey make the most indulgent breakfast ever! Halloumi has the texture of mozzarella, but because it's made with sheep and goat's milk, the flavour is much more interesting. Paired with fresh figs, it's divine! Serve with wholemeal toast.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 50g halloumi cheese
    • 3 fresh figs, quartered
    • 4 walnut halves, broken
    • 1 teaspoon honey

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:3min  ›  Ready in:8min 

    1. Preheat a grill for high heat. Break up the halloumi cheese, and toss with the fresh figs and walnuts in a small dish.
    2. Grill under the preheated grill until the halloumi is browned and the figs begin to caramelise, about 3 minutes. Drizzle with the honey.

    Tip

    This makes a great starter, as well. Simply increase the quantities as needed!
