Breaded pork chops

    These delightful breaded pork chops are tender and juicy with a delightful crunch. Serve alongside a salad or baked potato for a complete meal.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 pork chops
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • garlic granules, to taste
    • 2 tablespoons plain flour
    • 1 egg
    • 110g breadcrumbs
    • oil, as needed for cooking

    1. Pat the pork chops dry with kitchen paper. Sandwich between two sheets of cling film then flatten to an even thickness using a mallet or rolling pin. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic granules.
    2. Place the flour on a plate. Beat egg lightly in a separate shallow bowl. Pour the breadcrumbs on a third plate. Coat the chops in flour, dip in the egg then coat with breadcrumbs.
    3. Heat the oil and fry the pork chops for 2 minutes on both sides until golden brown. Cover, reduce heat and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side (until no longer pink in the centre).
