Ginger and anise beef stir fry

    The unique combination of anise seed and root ginger flavours a very simple stir fry of beef strips, red peppers and spring onions.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 200g beef, cut into thin strips
    • 2cm root ginger, grated
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 red pepper, sliced
    • 10 spring onions, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon anise seed

    1. Heat the olive oil in a wok over medium heat. Cook and stir the beef strips, root ginger, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper and spring onions, until the beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
    2. Sprinkle with the anise seed and serve.
