Serves: 8
- 1 (1.5kg) whole chicken or chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings, breasts)
- 100g butter
- 2 (400g) tins peeled tomatoes
- 3 to 4 white onions, minced
- 1 large bunch fresh coriander, minced
- 1 large bunch fresh parsley, minced
- 1 large bunch fresh dill, minced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- ground chili flakes to taste
- ground pepper to taste
- paprika powder to taste

- If you are using a whole chicken, cut it up into pieces. Heat 1/4 of the butter and fry chicken pieces until light golden.
- Add onion and herbs and the rest of butter. Fry for a further 10 minutes.
- Crush tomatoes with a fork and add to the chicken. Add salt and spices and simmer until chicken is tender and detaches from bones. about 1 hour.
